Under the current STOR Standard Contract Terms ("STOR SCTs”), NGET has not been able to benefit from faster response times from plant which is already committed to STOR contracts.
NGET has proposed an amendment to the STOR that is designed to introduce flexibility for STOR Providers to suspend their STOR Contracts on an annual basis for the purposes of providing Firm Frequency Response ("FFR”) (subject to successful participation in an FFR auction).
A Detailed Change Proposal (DCP-06) has been published that will come into effect, in accordance with the change procedures under the STOR SCTs, on 1.4.2015.
The new suspension clause would be exercisable by any STOR Provider on notice to NGET but only after NGET have notified Providers that the clause is to take effect.
The amendment provides a material benefit for NGET and does not materially change the STOR SCTs. The change is applicable to all STOR Providers.
