II.1.2)Short description:
The International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (OGP) in support of the Arctic Oil Spill Response Technology - Joint Industry Programme (JIP) is seeking fully-costed proposals (technical and complete cost proposals) to conduct a high level feasibility evaluation of an On-Board oil-water-ice separator to facilitate the mechanical recovery of oil in offshore Arctic waters.
A workshop was conducted 6.6.2012. - 6.8.2012. in London, UK to advance accessing and recovering oil in ice infested waters, to identify promising recovery concepts and to agree on research and development strategy. Several promising concepts and ideas were identified at the workshop that require further feasibility evaluations before funding decisions can be made. The objective of this high level feasibility evaluation of On-Board Oil-Water-Ice Separation is to identify the most promising technologies and provide sufficient information to make a determination of the level of research and development required and the likelihood of success.
