Main site or location of works, place of delivery or of performance: The main place of performance is in the North West Region. The contract will be available to use by North West Police Forces, consisting of Cheshire Constabulary, Cumbria Constabulary, Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Constabulary, Merseyside Police, North Wales Police. It will also be available for use by the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

The proposed contract period is for three years, commencing on 1.6.2012, with an option for a further two twelve month extensions. The contract is for a service provision to salaried Police officers and Police staff, excluding none salaried staff, for example, Special Constabulary officers. This contract will be available for use by the North West Region Police Forces, consisting of Cheshire Constabulary, Cumbria Constabulary, Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Constabulary, Merseyside Police, North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
The requirement is for the provision of a Salary Sacrifice Cycle Scheme to all named parties above. The Contractor will be responsible for the implementation and full administration of the service as identified in the specification. The Contractor will be responsible for assessing each applicant to ensure that the eligibility criteria are met. Following the recent ruling in the case of Astra Zeneca v HMRC, none of the above named parties will be offering staff the benefit of zero VAT. The benefit will be restricted to savings in income tax and National Insurance Contributions.
