In line with the NHS goal of being paperless by April 2020, Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) has a requirement to store specific records in an a secure location inline with the nationally set retention times (in some cases 70 years).

The records will need to be kept secure whilst in storage and only accessible by pre-approved staff.

All access to records will need to be logged and available for audit/review by NCH&C on demand. The NCH&C records will need to be stored for a number of years in line with internal policy.

Once retention has been met - The secure storage provider will have the capabilities to destroy the records and certify the destruction on behalf of NCH&C.

If access to the records is needed, this will be facilitated by the secure storage provider and could be in a number of ways including but not limited to, physical access on site, return of original to NCH&C or scan of original and emailing of scan to NCH&C.

The project scope is limited to the storage of records; including but not limited to patient health records, child health records, employee records and financial records. These make up approximately 10 000 boxes (of differing dimensions).
