Consultation in relation to Hounslow Substance Misuse

The LBH has requirements for an integrated community drug and alcohol treatment and recovery service. However it is a possibility that a building for the adult service will not be secured by the Commissioners and therefore the requirement may include additional requirements for the provider to secure the use of suitable premises. Total budget 2 200 000 GBP per annum.

The Service

The adult service will encompass all community tier two and three modalities (including prescribing, community detoxification, psychosocial interventions, group programmes and recovery interventions) as well as responsibility for the pharmacy needle exchange and supervised consumption schemes and inpatient alcohol detoxification placements.

All responses will be required by Friday 25.8.2017 and should be sent to . Those who feel this is potentially a service they could provide in such a scenario may be invited to a workshop on September the 6th to discuss the proposal in further detail.

The Outcome

Responses to this PIN will help form the research outcome and determine whether there is a marketplace and competition will be achieved to tender the service, or for the Council to either extend the contract or directly award a contract using the procurement route if Negotiation without Notice.
