Thames is seeking to procure supply solutions for six different chemicals across 6 different lots; Lot 1- ferrous sulphate, Lot 2- ferric sulphate, Lot 3- ferrous chloride, Lot 4- ferric chloride, Lot 5- poly-aluminium chloride 10 % and 18 %, Lot 6- aluminium ferric sulphate.

This new Framework Agreement will supersede the existing Agreement(s). Thames Water reserves the right to combine lots into single contracts depending on the responses received to the OJEU notice. Thames Water also reserves the right to make no award as a result of this procurement process, or may award in part or in whole. Preference will be given to applicants who can provide products for multiple Lots.

Any agreement awarded would be for an initial duration of 3 years with options to award extensions up to a maximum contract length of 8 years. This would be subject to satisfactory reviews on price and supplier performance.

Thames Water Utilities Limited will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.

The Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
