The University of Sheffield wished to invite tenders for a Circumferential Braiding Facility for supply to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's, new Composites Facility.
Scope of requirement:
Supply, installation and commissioning of a Circumferential Braiding Facility to support industrial scale manufacture of Complex Non-Axisymmetric Components Using High Performance Fibres in Multi-Axial Orientations. As such, the facility must be flexible, reconfigurable and lend itself to a high level of customisation whilst being constructed to industrial standards in a manner appropriate for industrial use.
