This PIN is to announce that the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), Operational Support Vehicles Programme (OSVP) has a future requirement for the provision of an Engineering Authority to provide Core Technical Services and Non-Core PDS activities for three (3) ‘B’ Vehicle Platforms (all variants) (light logistics vehicles under 7.5 Tonne, traditionally used for carriage of passengers and cargo). The in-scope Platforms are as follows:
- Pinzgauer, quantity 1136 (reducing to quantity 700 by 2020),
- Land Rover variants, quantity 8224 and
- Trailer Light Weight, quantity 6244.
The Estimated value is approximately: 12 000 000 GBP (including VAT) for two (2) years support and up to two (2) Option years (reference: II.7 Additional Information for details).

It is anticipated that the Contract will be awarded in Quarter (Q) 1 2017 for up to four (4) years support. Concurrently, the Authority's Service Provision Contract (SPC) shall maintain responsibility for the management of spares provisioning, repairs, obsolescence management and equipment failure reports for these vehicle platforms.
To Note: These in-scope B-Vehicle Platforms are currently envisaged to transition to the Strategic Support Supplier (SSS) in April 2019. The SSS solution is expected to broaden the support scope of the extant SPC to include Initial Technical Services (PDS) and Fleet Management Services including transportation, in order to provide an end-to-end support service. Accordingly, any future Contract for the provision of this service may be subject to early termination or novation to assist alignment with SSS from April 2019.
This PIN is being issued by the MOD to inform potential suppliers that the OSVP Team have a future requirement. This PIN is for information purposes only and not a means to seek formal Expressions of Interest. No response to this PIN is required at this time.
The MOD will not be liable to reimburse any costs incurred by any parties who respond to this PIN.
